"I Built a $5 Digital Product With AI in 24 Hours"

Hey! So here’s something I tried last weekend.
I gave myself a small, weird challenge:
Can I use AI to create something I can actually sell — in 1 day — with zero money?

Spoiler: I did. It wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t fancy.
But I made something. I priced it at $5. And guess what? Someone bought it.

This is exactly how it happened — the honest version. No fake flex, no tech talk.

Step 1: I Had No Idea What to Make (Classic)

I literally sat on my bed, opened Claude AI, and typed:
“Give me some simple digital product ideas a broke student can create in one day.”

Claude gave me a list: printable planners, journal pages, mini guides, budget sheets, etc.

I picked something easy:
A “Study Tracker for Students” — basically a printable sheet to help people organize study goals, daily tasks, and exam countdowns.

I picked it because… let’s be real, I need it myself.

Step 2: I Designed It on Canva in My Pajamas

Now came the part where I had to actually make it.
I opened Canva (free version, of course), and searched “planner template.”

Boom. Tons of options. I picked one. Changed the colors.
Added a heading: “Study Tracker — Focus Mode On”

Added a little checklist, a “today’s goals” box, and even a tiny section for “motivation of the day.”
(I put a quote from BTS. Yes, I’m that person.)

It took me about 45 minutes. Was it a masterpiece? No.
Was it mine? Yup.

Step 3: Uploading It to Sell (No Tech Needed)

I had no website. No fancy store. Just vibes.

Claude suggested a site called Gumroad — free, easy, and built for selling digital stuff.

I uploaded the PDF. Wrote a quick description like:
“Simple and cute study tracker for students like me who procrastinate but still want to pass.”

Price? $5. Because it took effort, and I was proud of it.

Step 4: Promotion… aka Telling My Friends

This part made me nervous. Like… “who am I to sell anything?”

But then I thought: I made something useful. That’s not nothing.

So I posted it on my Instagram story, WhatsApp status, and sent it to two friends who are always cramming for exams.

I didn’t expect much.

Then… ping!
My friend Areeba bought it.
Then her cousin.
Then a random person on Gumroad I didn’t even know.

That night I made $10.
I know it’s not huge, but it felt huge to me.

what I Learned (For Real)

  • You don’t need to be a tech genius. You just need to start.
  • AI won’t do everything for you, but it’s like a creative helper in your pocket.
  • Selling your first thing is a big deal, even if it’s $5.
  • Done is better than perfect. Seriously.

Final Thoughts: Try It, Even If You’re Scared

I’m not a designer. I’m not an entrepreneur.
I’m just a regular person who decided to try something new with tools I already had.

And honestly?
It felt good to make something. To share it. To see someone click “buy.”

That tiny win gave me confidence. And I want you to feel that too.

So if you’ve got an idea — or even just curiosity — try it.
Use Claude. Use Canva. Use your messy brain and make something cool.

You never know… that $5 idea could be your start.

P.S. If you want to try this challenge too, I’ll happily send you my step-by-step. Just ask. It’s free, like your first product should be.
